Experienced Product Tester – In-Home Usage Testing – Flexible Work Schedule

With a strong focus on customer satisfaction, we design and conduct In-Home Usage Testing (IHUT) locally and nationally to provide actual user feedback in real-time to companies and market research firms. Our goal is to ensure that products are properly certified and meet the needs of the target market, ultimately driving business growth and success.
Key Responsibilities
As an In-Home Usage Tester, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Properly documenting In-Home Usage Tests as instructed in the In-Home Usage Test Daily Schedule (screenshots, audio recordings, videos, product journal entries, etc.)
- Taking care of the product being tested and using it responsibly
- Reading and strictly following the In-Home Usage Test Daily Schedule provided with each product testing project (may include tasks such as unpacking, reading instructions, journal entries, online or mobile feedback, usage of product for a certain amount of time, writing reviews, taking pictures, etc.)
- Participating in private chat rooms that may be opened by market research firms to discuss the product being tested
- Writing reviews as requested in the In-Home Usage Test Daily Schedule for each project
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you'll need to possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Ability to follow specific instructions and maintain attention to detail
- Curious spirit and willingness to learn
- Ability to work 15-25 hours per week and commit to a certain routine
- Access to a computer and a reliable internet connection
- Access to a digital camera or cell phone that takes pictures
- Honesty and reliability
- Good communication skills (an asset)
- 18 years or older
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:
- Previous experience in product testing or market research
- Familiarity with In-Home Usage Testing or similar methodologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
