Responsibilities

As an Airport Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for:

  • Greeting and assisting all customers in a prompt, friendly, and courteous manner over the phone and in person, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for our passengers.
  • Announcing both incoming and outbound flights, providing timely and accurate information to our travelers.
  • Handling credit card and personal check transactions with accuracy and precision, properly accounting for all collections and conducting airline close-out procedures.
  • Accepting and processing checked baggage weighing up to 100 lbs. and placed on conveyor belts, ensuring efficient and safe handling of luggage.
  • Operating jetways to place them in position prior to aircraft arrival and lifting, opening, closing, and securing aircraft doors, demonstrating a high level of attention to detail and safety awareness.
  • Utilizing airline computer systems to provide flight arrival and departure information, ticketing and flight boarding documents, lost or damaged baggage documentation, and cargo tracking information, showcasing your technical skills and adaptability.
  • Working independently without direct supervision, demonstrating self-motivation and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Escorting unaccompanied minors and disabled passengers throughout the airport, providing a safe and supportive environment for our most vulnerable travelers.
  • Standing and working in one location for up to four hours at a time, maintaining a high level of energy and focus throughout your shift.

Requirements

To be successful as an Airport Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, you will need to possess:

  • A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience, demonstrating a strong foundation in education and a high degree of attention to detail.
  • The ability to read, speak, and understand the English language, ensuring effective communication with our diverse passenger base.
  • Good communication skills and a friendly, outgoing personality in person and via telephone, showcasing your ability to build rapport with customers and colleagues alike.
  • Entry-level computer skills, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new systems and technologies.
  • The ability to occasionally lift bags or items weighing between 50 and 70 pounds, demonstrating physical stamina and a commitment to safety.
  • A clean background, passing an extensive post-offer pre-employment background check, including fingerprinting and a criminal history record check required by federal law.
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to adapt to changing schedules.
