Experienced Data Entry Clerk – Financial Litigation Support Specialist

As a key member of our team, you will provide critical support to Assistant United States Attorneys (AUSAs) in the financial litigation function, utilizing your technical expertise to process cases, conduct research, and communicate with debtors.

Key Responsibilities
As a Financial Litigation Support Specialist, you will be responsible for:
- Providing technical assistance to AUSAs in the financial litigation function, including processing cases, conducting research, and communicating with debtors
- Utilizing automated systems to conduct research, initiate documents for debt collection actions, and track debtor accounts
- Analyzing routine financial information on debtors to determine their present and future potential ability to pay
- Communicating with debtors to present options for debt payments, answer questions, explain pertinent procedures, clarify information, and work cases to resolution
- Preparing payment plans by reviewing financial asset information submitted by debtors
- Performing other duties as assigned by management
Essential Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must possess:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of experience in data entry, financial analysis, or a related field
- Strong technical skills, including proficiency in automated systems and online resources
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with AUSAs, debtors, and other stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze financial information and make informed decisions
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable:
- Associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field, such as finance, accounting, or business administration
- Experience working in a government agency or financial institution
- Certification in a related field, such as financial analysis or debt collection
- Proficiency in multiple software applications, including Microsoft Office and Google Suite
