Job Summary
We're seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Engineer to join our team, responsible for designing, building, and maintaining advanced analytics solutions that drive business insights and inform strategic decision making. As a key member of our team, you'll work closely with finance, engineering, and leadership teams to develop strategic reports, design user interfaces, and drive projects that support our business goals.
Key Responsibilities
* Scope, design, and build database structure and schema to enable arenaflex teams to self-serve
- Create data pipelines using extract, transform, and load (ETL) connections/SQL queries to bring new attributes into the arenaflex master database
- Retrieve and analyze data using a broad set of arenaflex data technologies and resources
- Pull data on an ad-hoc basis using SQL queries
- Design, build, and maintain automated reporting, dashboards, and analyses to enable our team to focus on solving ambiguous problems
- Conduct deep dives to identify root causes of pain points and opportunities for improvement
- Work closely with Certified Specialist Business Intelligence (CSBI) teams to ensure arenaflex uses globally standard metrics and definitions
- Collaborate with finance and business partners to gather data and metrics requirements

Basic Qualifications
* 5+ years of SQL experience
- 7+ years of professional or military experience
- Experience programming to extract, transform and clean large (multi-TB) data sets
- Experience with theory and practice of design of experiments and statistical analysis of results
- Experience with AWS technologies
- Experience in scripting for automation (e.g. Python) and advanced SQL skills
- Experience with theory and practice of information retrieval, data science, machine learning and data mining
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience working directly with business stakeholders to translate between data and business needs
- Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership
- Strong understanding of business operations and customer profiles
- Experience with data visualization tools and technologies
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms and services
