Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Data Analyst to join our Transportation Analytics crew. As a Data Analyst, you'll work with large, messy datasets to create impactful insights, develop data visualization, and engage with cross-functional teams to drive business decisions. If you're passionate about data analysis, have excellent SQL skills, and a creative approach to Tableau, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities

* Work with large, messy, disparate datasets and perform ad-hoc analyses to inform essential business decisions

• Create ETLs or strategies that pull data from multiple locations and centralize it in a single table
• Develop data visualization to display and quantify the impact of changes and specific business challenges
• Engage with team members and cross-functional groups on a periodic basis and establish credibility
• Analyze stakeholder needs and collaborate with them to share relevant information, including partnering with Operations, Finance, and Product groups on data accuracy, completeness, and latency across multiple operations and systems
• Leverage scripting languages (Python preferred) to automate tasks for reporting (screenshots, metrics prioritization, and outlier recognition)
• Document your strategies and share your expertise with colleagues
• Mentor colleagues as you become a Subject Matter Expert

Essential Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or Business Administration)

• 2-4 years of experience with SQL, with a strong understanding of data integrity and manipulation
• 1-2 years of experience with Tableau, with a focus on user experience and impactful dashboard creation
• Business operations fluency, with the ability to recognize and root cause business problems
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally

Preferred Qualifications

* Advanced experience with SQL and Tableau

• Experience with e-commerce operations or parcel service operations
• Experience with Python or other scripting languages
• Experience with data manipulation tools, including Knime, Alteryx, R, Tableau Prep, etc.
