Key Responsibilities:
As an Experienced Customs Trade Coordinator, you will be responsible for the following key tasks:
- Providing exceptional customer service to clients, responding to inquiries, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
- Processing and arranging customs clearance for shipments, utilizing data from various sources, including databases, SOPs, duty books, and the web
- Handling and processing different import-related documentation for submission to US Customs, as well as managing PGA (Participating Government Agencies) interactions
- Maintaining and updating all shipment documentation in compliance with record-keeping requirements
- Ensuring compliance with all international importing and exporting regulations
- Collaborating with internal staff, divisions, other arenaflex activities, and clients to deliver a high level of service and support
- Processing organization financier shipments and handling distant filings as needed
- Ensuring adherence to all service and operational procedures
- Performing other duties as assigned by management
Essential Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., logistics, trade, business, or a related field)
- No prior industry experience is required, but a minimum of 6 months of work experience is preferred
- Proficiency in data entry and computer skills, including MS Office, Viewpoint, and other office equipment (telephone, fax, scanner, printer, scanner)
- Excellent communication, verbal, and written skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, transporters, intermediaries, government agencies, and internal staff
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle high volumes of work and meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Familiarity with various systems and reference materials
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions
Preferred Qualifications:
* HS Certificate or GED
- Industry experience in logistics, trade, or a related field
- Proficiency in multiple software systems and platforms
- Experience working with government agencies and regulatory bodies
- Strong knowledge of international trade regulations and compliance requirements
