Job Summary
As a Custom Circuits Design Engineer at arenaflex, you'll play a critical role in designing and developing custom circuits that meet the needs of our cutting-edge ASICs. You'll work closely with our power group, PD, and designers to define requirements and specifications, and collaborate with our format group to ensure design quality. Your expertise will be essential in creating and driving circuit procedures to achieve the highest design quality metrics.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and develop custom circuits to improve chip power efficiency
- Work with power group, PD, and designers to define requirements and specifications
- Perform plan, analysis, modeling/simulation, circuit level specifications, schematic capture, spice simulation/DC analysis across PVT, measurement plan, functional verification, and silicon validation
- Collaborate with format group to complete the design and administer design quality
- Create and drive circuit procedures to achieve the highest design quality metrics
- Develop and maintain expertise in industry-standard circuit and design tools
- Participate in design reviews and provide feedback to improve design quality
Essential Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
- At least 3 years of relevant industry experience in custom circuits design
- Strong understanding of deep submicron device physics, leakage mechanisms, technology interactions with device behavior
- Profound knowledge of device noise sources (1/f, thermal), external noise sources (supply, jitter), and their impact on high-accuracy circuit
- Experience in design of low-voltage/low-power custom circuits
- Familiarity with contradicting message check and behavior models for inconsistent message blocks
- Capability in programming languages (Python/Perl or others) and computer-aided design automation tools
- Strong understanding of industry-standard circuit and design tools
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience in design of AI accelerators, SRAM, non-volatile memories, weak/strong inversion circuits, super low-power amplifiers, DC/DC converters, analog on-chip sensors, fast timing, time-to-digital converters (TDCs)
- Familiarity with design automation tools and methodologies
- Experience in silicon debug, assembly, and analysis of data; and use of pre-processing to support effective treatment of ATE data
- Strong understanding of device-level modeling and simulation
