Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Specialist, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional customer service through various communication channels, including phone, chat, social media, and email. Your primary focus will be on:

  • Answering customer inquiries in a polite, courteous, and professional manner
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers to ensure their needs are met and exceeded
  • Identifying and resolving customer issues or concerns through probing questions and effective communication
  • Maintaining accurate account information and updating customer records as needed
  • Utilizing next call avoidance techniques to minimize future questions and improve customer satisfaction
  • Scheduling delivery orders and handling basic negotiations with customers
  • Resolving general customer issues, such as service order input, emergency scripts, and contract information
  • De-escalating customer situations through effective communication and conflict resolution
  • Sending statements and invoices to customers, performing soft collections, and handling cash transactions
  • Supporting the setup of new customer accounts and ensuring a seamless onboarding experience

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1 or more year(s) of customer service experience
  • Exceptional customer service and negotiation skills
  • Strong organizational skills, including typing and data entry experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on team building and developing positive relationships with colleagues and customers
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Access
  • U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residency, or authorization to work in the United States
  • No requirement for sponsorship for an employment visa
