Responsibilities
As a Customer Service Specialist, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional customer service through various communication channels, including phone, chat, social media, and email. Your primary focus will be on:
- Answering customer inquiries in a polite, courteous, and professional manner
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers to ensure their needs are met and exceeded
- Identifying and resolving customer issues or concerns through probing questions and effective communication
- Maintaining accurate account information and updating customer records as needed
- Utilizing next call avoidance techniques to minimize future questions and improve customer satisfaction
- Scheduling delivery orders and handling basic negotiations with customers
- Resolving general customer issues, such as service order input, emergency scripts, and contract information
- De-escalating customer situations through effective communication and conflict resolution
- Sending statements and invoices to customers, performing soft collections, and handling cash transactions
- Supporting the setup of new customer accounts and ensuring a seamless onboarding experience
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- A High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1 or more year(s) of customer service experience
- Exceptional customer service and negotiation skills
- Strong organizational skills, including typing and data entry experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on team building and developing positive relationships with colleagues and customers
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Access
- U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residency, or authorization to work in the United States
- No requirement for sponsorship for an employment visa
