Job Summary

As a Network Protection Examiner Understudy, you will play a critical role in our Incident Response Team, working closely with experts to analyze, mitigate, and recover from digital threats. You will have the opportunity to work on real-world cybersecurity challenges, developing your skills in emergency management, threat assessment, and collaboration. Key Responsibilities

The Network Protection Examiner Understudy will be responsible for:

• Working with business clients to conduct needs analysis related to systems and business processes to develop high-quality technical solutions
• Ensuring solutions are aligned with internal tooling, business processes, and compliance with departmental standards
• Managing project timelines for planning, coding, testing, and implementation to ensure solutions are delivered on time and within budget
• Serving as a resource to ensure effective communication between business and IT teams
• Participating in system and acceptance testing
• Scope of work may vary depending on the team project

Essential Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in a relevant field

• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required
• Fundamental knowledge of cybersecurity and threat mitigation standards, theories, and practices
• Experience or exposure to Proofpoint PhishAlarm preferred
• Experience or knowledge of ServiceNow Administration, Risk and Compliance (GRC) preferred
• Essential knowledge of business analysis, process modeling, and improvement preferred
• Major understanding of project management systems, including the ability to design, manage, and maintain a complex, organization-wide program preferred
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with all levels within the organization, including both technical and non-technical stakeholders preferred
• Fundamental knowledge of technical environment required
• Openness to Agile philosophies preferred
• Coursework or experience related to network security preferred
• Ability to remain organized and manage multiple and simultaneous tasks under tight deadlines preferred
• Past investigator entry-level position experience within the past year preferred
• Experience resolving business issues in a capstone or case competition preferred
• Ability to work in a culture that is open, direct, conscious, gracious, and empathetic
• Fast learner, self-motivated, team-oriented, with a sense of humor

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience working in a cybersecurity-related field

• Knowledge of threat intelligence, incident response, and security operations
• Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) systems
• Familiarity with cloud security platforms and services
• Experience with security testing and vulnerability assessment
• Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements related to cybersecurity
