Description The Amazon Account Director leads and develops a high-performing team of Account Managers and Senior Account Managers, fostering a culture of collaboration, growth, and excellence. This role is responsible for empowering the team to deliver best-in-class strategy and execution that drives measurable growth for our clients and Amazon. Account Directors serve as strategic leaders who deeply understand both Amazon’s ecosystem and the Harvest Group business model, leveraging this expertise to guide their teams in creating and executing plans that profitably grow client businesses while strengthening Harvest Group’s overall impact. Through strong people leadership and strategic insight, the Account Director ensures that every team member is equipped, inspired, and aligned to deliver extraordinary results. For this role we prefer that candidates are based out of the following states: AL, AR, AZ, CT, FL, GA, IA, ID, IL, IN, KS, KY, MD, MN, MO, MS, NV, NC, OH, OK, OR, PA, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, or WI.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of Account Managers, providing coaching, development, and performance feedback.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Serve as a senior point of contact for strategic clients, partnering with senior client stakeholders to drive growth and business efficiency.
  • Guide the team in developing annual brand strategies, promotional calendars, annual vendor negotiations, product launches, and supply chain optimization.
  • Oversee client execution across account management while partnering with the advertising and content teams to ensure alignment with strategy and goals.
  • Partner cross-functionally with analytics, creative, and media teams to deliver holistic client solutions.
  • Analyze business performance and identify opportunities for growth and operational efficiency.
  • Stay informed on Amazon’s latest tools, policies, and marketplace trends to ensure clients and teams remain ahead of the curve.

Requirements

  • 6-9 years of experience in account management, retail, or eCommerce — with significant exposure to Amazon (1P and 3P).
  • Proven success leading client-facing teams and developing talent.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with executive-level presence.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • Experience collaborating across disciplines (retail media, creative, analytics, supply chain).
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools.
  • Willingness to travel

We carefully consider a wide-ranging list of factors to determine compensation, including but not limited to level of job-related experience, knowledge, skills, location, etc. Base pay is just one component of the total compensation and benefits package. The national hiring starting base salary range for this position is $125,000-$145,000/annually. Additionally, this position is eligible to participate in our bonus program.
