Senior Accountant, CPA Track Required

Job Description:

Assist with the period end close process and other routine accounting functions
Prepare account reconciliations, investigate variances or unexpected results
Prepare, and post journal entries
Work with others to find creative solutions to challenges and issues
Partner with accounting and finance teams including Treasury, Financial Planning and Analysis, Payroll, Tax and others
Process intercompany transactions and perform audit controls with internal and external audit
Own and continuously improve departmental procedures and documentation
Lead meetings with internal teams to develop understanding and agreement of account balances
Ensure that accruals are recorded, and balances are maintained within GAAP guidelines
Update the general ledger system adding, changing, or deleting accounts, cost centers or locations
Provide training and guidance to new General Accounting staff members
Participate in special projects, as directed by the Accounting Manager

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or related degree
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in public or private accounting or finance
CPA designation or CPA track preferred
Public accounting / audit experience preferred but not necessary
1+ year of experience reviewing work (e.g., reconciliations, journal entries, or close deliverables) preferred
Experience and advanced proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Experience with Power BI, Power Automate, Power Query, and Copilot preferred but not required
Experience with general ledger and financial reporting systems
Experience specifically with NetSuite preferred but not required
Advanced understanding of US GAAP
Experience with multiple entity / subsidiary organizations and intercompany transactions preferred
