The Position

We're seeking an experienced Customer Service Specialist II to join our Housing Choice Voucher program. As a key member of our team, you'll provide front-line information and assistance to customers, both over the phone and in person. You'll also assist with general office functions, including filing, mail/fax distribution, office supplies, and related duties. This is a candidate-pool posting, and the vacancy may be a term-limited position with an estimated end date.

Responsibilities

* Provide exceptional customer service to clients, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner

• Assist with general office functions, including filing, mail/fax distribution, office supplies, and related duties
• Use document imaging software to scan and manage documents
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and files
• Collaborate with team members to achieve program goals and objectives
• Participate in on-the-job training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge

Requirements

* Three years' work experience in general office work or related experience, including at least one year of experience using Word and Excel

• Use of document imaging software is preferred but not required
• Two years of mail processing or equivalent clerical experience is preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid Washington state driver's license with an insurable driving record

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience working in a housing or social services agency

• Knowledge of housing choice voucher programs and regulations
• Bilingual or multilingual skills
