About Plot Party Plot Party is a next-gen AI-native video creation platform that helps storytellers, brands, and creators produce cinematic short-form content—faster, smarter, and at scale. Based in the Bay Area, we're redefining how stories are told in the age of AI. We’re looking for a creative and self-driven Social Media Intern to help us build our online presence through viral, trend-driven content across TikTok, Instagram, and other social channels. This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to build their portfolio and grow in the AI + content creation space.
Key Responsibilities
Content Creation & Filming Shoot and star in high-quality, scroll-stopping videos for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and emerging video platforms. Create UGC-style content featuring yourself, friends, or collaborators that showcases the power and fun of Plot Party. Capture a variety of formats—from raw, behind-the-scenes vlogs to polished edits that highlight product features or storytelling use cases. Experiment with different hooks, visual formats, and storytelling styles to engage diverse creator communities. Editing & Post-Production Edit short-form videos using popular editing tools and AI-powered features (including Plot Party itself). Use on-trend transitions, captions, and sound overlays to enhance engagement. Optimize video pacing, thumbnails, and captions for maximum retention and shares. Ensure every video feels native to the platform and reinforces Plot Party’s voice and vision. Content Strategy & Trend Surfing Stay on top of trending sounds, formats, memes, and creator challenges. Research best practices for algorithm-friendly content: posting times, captions, hashtags, and more. Collaborate closely with our marketing and product teams to ideate and produce viral content series. Track performance via analytics and apply learnings to future content cycles. Incorporate cultural moments and internet trends into storytelling when relevant. Qualifications & Skills Deep familiarity with TikTok, Instagram, and Gen Z/Millennial content culture. Experience filming and editing content (iPhone or DSLR—your choice). Proficiency with editing software (e.g., CapCut, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere) and interest in AI-powered tools. Strong storytelling instincts and an eye for pacing, humor, and emotional impact. A trendspotter’s mindset—you know what’s next before it hits the For You page. Bonus: Interest in creator tools, AI, video production, or storytelling tech. Additional Information This is a paid internship with flexible hours and remote-friendly work.
