Technical SEO Contractor for Software Startup (Ongoing)
We're Obot AI (https://obot.ai) - a software startup looking for an experienced technical SEO contractor to help monitor, maintain, and improve the health and performance of our website as we grow. We need help with technical SEO: this includes site health monitoring, crawl analysis, indexing, and performance improvements, but we’d also value someone who understands the broader SEO landscape and can contribute strategic insights where relevant. Knowledge and curiosity of AEO/GEO is a plus. Responsibilities - Monitor site health and identify technical SEO issues - Review crawl reports and resolve indexing/crawlability problems - Manage sitemaps, redirects, canonicals, robots.txt, and broken links - Review and troubleshoot Google Search Console issues - Help improve Core Web Vitals and overall site performance - Conduct recurring technical SEO audits and prioritize fixes - Collaborate with developers when implementation support is needed - Identify issues, recommend solutions, and proactively drive and implement improvements Ideal Experience - Strong hands-on technical SEO experience - Experience with tools like: - GA4 & Google Search Console - Ahrefs, Semrush, Search Atlas - Screaming Frog - PageSpeed Insights / Lighthouse - WordPress SEO Plug-ins - Understanding of crawlability, indexing, structured data, internal linking, and site architecture - Ability to clearly communicate findings and recommendations - Experience implementing fixes and working alongside engineering or web teams - Strong self-direction, Nice to Have - Experience with SaaS or content-heavy websites - Familiarity with JavaScript SEO - Knowledge of backlink/referral strategies and broader SEO best practices - Familiarity with emerging AEO/AI search optimization workflows and tooling (e.g. Profound, Otterly, SEMrush AI Toolkit) If this matches you're looking to do, we'd love to hear from you!
