Senior Network Solutions Architect, Telecommunications
Our client, a leading innovator in the telecommunications industry, is seeking an experienced Senior Network Solutions Architect to design and implement robust, scalable network infrastructure solutions. This key role, based in Colorado Springs, Colorado, US , will involve collaborating with clients and internal teams to understand requirements, develop architectural designs, and ensure the successful deployment of advanced telecommunications networks. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in routing, switching, wireless, and cloud networking, coupled with strong client-facing and problem-solving skills. Responsibilities: Design and architect complex telecommunications network solutions, including LAN, WAN, wireless, and data center architectures. Collaborate with sales teams and clients to understand business requirements and translate them into technical network designs. Develop detailed network diagrams, proposals, and technical documentation. Evaluate and recommend new technologies and solutions to enhance network performance, security, and efficiency. Provide expert technical guidance and support throughout the implementation and deployment phases. Conduct network assessments and performance analyses to identify areas for optimization. Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues, ensuring minimal disruption to services. Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in telecommunications networking. Mentor junior network engineers and contribute to the team's technical knowledge base. Develop and maintain strong relationships with technology partners and vendors. Ensure network designs adhere to security best practices and compliance requirements. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 8 years of experience in network engineering and architecture, with a focus on telecommunications. Proven expertise in designing and implementing complex enterprise and service provider networks. In-depth knowledge of routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF), switching technologies, MPLS, and SD-WAN. Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP) is highly desirable. Strong understanding of wireless networking technologies (Wi-Fi, 5G). Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Relevant certifications such as CCIE, CCNP, JNCIE, or cloud networking certifications are a significant advantage. Experience with network security principles and implementation. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
