Special Education Teacher - Richmond, CA
This opportunity is for a Special Education Teacher role located in Richmond, CA, supporting students within a Transitional Kindergarten program. This is a contract position running through June 11, 2026, with the potential for a non-school year (NSY) placement as well. The role requires onsite work for approximately 37.5 hours per week, with no virtual support options at this time. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to the unique needs of students in a Transitional Kindergarten setting.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with district and state guidelines.
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet students’ individual learning requirements.
- Participate in meetings related to student educational planning and provide expert guidance on special education best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid California Education Specialist Instruction Credential.
- Current California Teaching Credential (CTC).
- Experience working with young children with diverse learning needs is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with families and educational teams.

- 37.5 hours per week, onsite in Richmond, CA.
- Contract duration until June 11, 2026, including potential for work during the non-school year.
