Local Coordinator for Nonprofit Exchange Program

Local Coordinator (Community-Based Role) Greenheart Exchange Love connecting people, supporting students, and making a real difference in your community? Greenheart Exchange is looking for enthusiastic, organized, and community‑minded individuals to join us as Local Coordinators! This role is perfect for someone who enjoys building relationships, cheering others on, and being a trusted local point of contact. You’ll help international exchange students and host families have a positive, rewarding experience—from arrival to farewell. What You’ll Do As a Local Coordinator, you’ll be the friendly face of Greenheart Exchange in your community. Responsibilities include:

• Recruiting and supporting volunteer host families
• Completing home visits and student check-ins
• Serving as a support resource for students, host families, and schools
• Helping students adjust to life in the U.S. and feel at home
• Maintaining clear communication and timely documentation
• Responding to questions or concerns and escalating when needed
• Participating in occasional trainings and meetings (virtual)

You’ll work independently while being fully supported by our regional and national teams—we’re always just a call or email away. What We’re Looking For We welcome individuals from all backgrounds who share our passion for cultural exchange! Ideal candidates typically have:

• Strong communication and organizational skills
• A warm, approachable, and dependable style
• Comfort working with teens and families
• Reliable transportation and internet access
• Ability to pass required background checks
• Availability to be responsive, especially during key program moments
