Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) — NexCap Lending LLC Location: Remote Schedule: Flexible hours Employment Type: Full-time, commission-based Compensation: 70/30 split (70% to Originator / 30% to NexCap Lending) In-house Processing: Available at $795 per file (optional) About NexCap Lending NexCap Lending is focused on creating an environment where motivated loan originators can grow, stay compliant, and provide an exceptional client experience. We specialize in residential lending and emphasize clear communication, transparency, and strong operational support. Position Overview As a Mortgage Loan Originator, you will operate remotely while guiding borrowers through the mortgage process from application to closing. You will build relationships, manage your pipeline, and help clients understand their loan options. Our team provides ongoing support throughout the process, and you may choose to utilize in-house processing when appropriate for your files.
Key Responsibilities
- Source, qualify, and originate residential mortgage loans
- Build and maintain strong referral and client relationships
- Review borrower income, credit, and assets to structure appropriate loan options
- Clearly explain loan programs and scenarios to clients
- Submit complete and accurate files ready for underwriting
- Communicate effectively with borrowers, processors, underwriters, and title companies
- Maintain compliance with all state, federal, and company guidelines
- Track pipeline activity and loan status in company systems
Required Qualifications
- Active NMLS license
- Experience originating and closing loans preferred
- Working knowledge of mortgage products and underwriting guidelines
- Strong communication and client service skills
- Organized, professional, and self-driven
Compensation and Support
- 70/30 commission split (70% to Originator)
- No cap on earnings
- Optional in-house processing available for $795 per file
