CPA/EA Track Accountant- Client Advisory and Firm Growth Role Green Accounting Services – Plainville, MA Full‑Time | Hybrid | Base Salary $50,000 + Production Compensation subject to Experience About Green Accounting Services Green Accounting Services is a modern, tech‑forward accounting and advisory practice serving individuals, small businesses, and real estate investors across Massachusetts. We focus on automation, workflow efficiency, and audit‑ready financial operations. As we grow, we’re looking for an accountant who wants to help build the next stage of the firm. Position Overview We are seeking an entrepreneurial, outgoing accountant with 3–5 years of experience to join our team. A CPA or EA is preferred but not required. You’ll work directly with clients, help expand service offerings, and contribute to building scalable systems and processes. This is a growth‑track role with autonomy, responsibility, and the ability to earn more through production‑based compensation.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of individual and business clients
• Prepare and review tax returns (1040, 1120, 1120‑S, 1065)
• Perform monthly/quarterly bookkeeping and financial statement preparation
• Conduct bank reconciliations and general ledger maintenance
• Support advisory/CAS projects such as budgeting, forecasting, and workflow improvements
• Communicate proactively with clients and provide strategic recommendations
• Assist in building internal processes, automation, and documentation
• Participate in firm growth initiatives, including client onboarding and service expansion

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of accounting or tax experience (public accounting preferred)
• CPA or EA preferred, but not required
• Strong understanding of tax law, financial statements, and accounting systems
• Experience with cloud‑based tools (QBO, UltraTax, Double, CoPilot, Excel, etc.)
• Excellent communication skills; outgoing and client‑focused
• Entrepreneurial mindset — proactive, resourceful, and excited to help grow a firm
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary floor: $50,000 per year, with the potential for a higher rate based on experience after a 3‑month performance period
