BIDMC/Dana-Farber Cancer Institute – Emergency/Acute Care Radiologist Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians (HMFP) at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) The Radiology Department at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, a major affiliate of Harvard Medical School, is seeking enthusiastic applicants for a radiologist faculty position in Emergency /Acute Care Radiology to join its dynamic team. The position will provide coverage to emergency, urgent care, and hospital-based patients of the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, the flagship hospital of the Beth Israel Lahey Hospital system, Level 1 trauma tertiary hospital. Shifts include daytime and second shift evening hours, with opportunity to work onsite at BIDMC as well as remote, with a home workstation provided. Candidates will interpret a wide range of diagnostic imaging studies including US, CT, radiography, and some MRI, covering both body and neuro imaging. Candidates should be eager to lead and develop specific clinical service lines. Hospital-based facilities span two main campuses and include cutting edge imaging equipment staffed by a highly collaborative team. They also treasure close relationships with referring services and contributions to weekly multidisciplinary conferences are highly valued by their clinical colleagues. In addition, the department will be engaged in the newly announced and exciting clinical collaboration between Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, BIDMC, and Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians (HMFP) to establish New England’s only free-standing adult inpatient cancer hospital. The collaboration will bring together world-class clinicians to deliver transformational, precision medicine in an environment solely dedicated to defying cancer. Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center is a major Harvard Medical School-affiliated teaching hospital with 649 beds, a Level I trauma center, and well-developed multi-specialty clinical programs, Candidates should be excited about working in an academic environment and passionate about the opportunity to teach medical students, residents, and fellows. Applicants must be board-eligible, preferably with fellowship training in emergency, body, neuroradiology, or musculoskeletal radiology, with an interest or prior experience in emergency radiology. Candidates must be eligible for academic appointment at the Instructor, Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level at Harvard Medical School.
