• Starting pay of $17.01 per hour, increasing to $17.26 after a 180-day introductory period
• Opportunity for significant pay increase upon certification, reaching up to $24.52 per hour based on experience
• Paid on-the-job training as a Medical Assistant while pursuing a Medical Assistant Certificate
• Tuition costs covered for selected apprentices in exchange for a service commitment

What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)

• Provide administrative support by answering phones, greeting patients, and documenting medical records
• Schedule appointments and arrange for hospital admissions and referrals
• Assist physicians during examinations and prepare patients for procedures
• Collect and prepare lab specimens, perform basic laboratory tests, and administer medications as directed
• Educate patients on treatment plans and follow through on referral requests

What Is Required (Qualifications)

• High School Diploma or GED
• Must be willing to commit to the apprenticeship program and potential tuition reimbursement agreement
• Ability to interact effectively with patients and their families
• Basic computer skills for using medical applications
• Strong communication skills for both clinical and administrative tasks

How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

• Previous experience in a healthcare or medical setting
• Familiarity with medical terminology and coding practices
• Certification or training in a related field prior to application
