Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Claims Customer Service Representative to join our growing claims department. As a Claims Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for answering internal and external phone and email inquiries, providing information and explanations on various levels of contract coverage and claims processes, and managing workflow to ensure timely and accurate resolution of claims. Key Responsibilities

* Analyze information in Vehicle Service Contract and claims system to advise customers of the appropriate benefit amounts

  • Request and distribute internal information to aid Claims Adjudication Department
  • Answer phone and email inquiries and provide information and explanations on various levels of contract coverage and claims processes
  • Manage workflow, process, and complete all requests and documents according to established procedures
  • Be a team member, work effectively in a friendly team environment
  • Be interactive and communicative with management and co-workers in a visible manner, requiring camera usage for training, team meetings, and meetings with management
  • Other job duties as assigned

Key to Success

* Minimum High School graduate or GED required

  • Strong organizational and customer service skills with ability to problem solve and multi-task
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data entry skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to communicate effectively with contract holders, agents, dealers, internal staff/upper management, and customers
  • Proficient working on a PC, with working knowledge of MS Office and ability to learn new programs quickly
  • Type at least 35 wpm, and document information while discussing the claim over the phone
  • Automotive Service Department experience preferred, with opportunities for Warranty Administrators, BDC Representatives, Automotive Cashier/Receptionist, and Service Writers

Essential Qualifications

* 1-2 years of experience in customer service, claims, or a related field

  • High School graduate or GED required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
  • Proficient in MS Office and data entry software
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

Preferred Qualifications

* 2+ years of experience in customer service, claims, or a related field

  • Automotive Service Department experience
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills
  • Experience with claims software and systems
