Job Responsibilities:
As a Pharmacy Customer Service Associate at arenaflex, you will be responsible for:
- Providing exceptional customer service to our customers, including greeting them, answering their questions, and resolving their issues in a timely and professional manner
- Processing transactions, including registering sales, collecting cash, and dispensing change as needed
- Maintaining accurate records, including patient and medication data, and processing voids, returns, and exchanges
- Assisting customers with finding items, including taking them to the OTC walkway when possible
- Keeping counters and retail areas clean and well-organized, taking stock, and maintaining records
- Performing tasks as assigned by the Pharmacy Director, Staff Pharmacist, and Senior Supervisor, including using pharmacy systems to enter patient and medication data, filling prescriptions, and checking for potential interactions
- Reporting prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty and adhering to organization policies and procedures regarding pharmacy errors and the Quality Improvement Program
- Handling calls that do not require individual attention from the pharmacist, including those to doctors
- Processing manual claims for external program prescription services in a timely and efficient manner, and performing other administrative tasks as assigned
- Assisting the Pharmacy Division with stock management tasks, including ordering, unloading, checking, and storing shipments of medications
- Maintaining knowledge of organization resource security methods and recording claims for distribution center overages, deficiencies, order errors, or damaged products, including Rx medications
- Ensuring compliance with state and local regulations regarding controlled substances (e.g., cocktails and tobacco products)
- Building and maintaining displays, including promotional, seasonal, and super displays, and completing resets and corrections as assigned
- Assisting with the division of food items (e.g., raw foods from pre-cooked) and item placement as determined by strategies/methods (e.g., raw and frozen meats on base retail areas)
- Having working knowledge of store systems and store equipment
- Providing customer service in the photo area, including digital identification photo services, banner print, and creative machine, and selling special photo items
- Taking on web pick-up responsibilities (screens orders in Picture Care, handles requests, and conveys requests to customers as they arrive at the store)
- Assisting with outside and inside maintenance by ensuring a clean, neat, and well-organized store condition and appearance
- Adhering to all organization policies and procedures; maintaining respectful relationships with colleagues
- Completing special tasks and other assignments as assigned
Preparation and Self-Improvement:
* Obtaining and maintaining PTCB certification through the assigned PTCB training program and state required certification/enrollment
- Attending training and completing PPLs mentioned by Supervisor or assigned by corporate and securing continuing education credits
- Maintaining knowledge and expertise in healthcare and pharmacy, including the latest news and advancements
Essential Capabilities:
* Conversant in reading, writing, and communicating in English (except in Puerto Rico)
- Willingness to work an adaptable schedule, including nights and weekend hours
Preferred Capabilities:
* A minimum of six months of experience in a retail environment
- Previous work experience with arenaflex
- Strong numerical skills to fill prescriptions accurately, including counting, measuring, and weighing medications
- Proficiency in computer skills
- Knowledge of store stock control
- PTCB certification
