Senior HRIS Analyst – Absence, Time Tracking, Payroll
Job Description:
- Serve as the subject matter expert for Workday Absence, Time Tracking, and Payroll functionality, configuration, and best practices.
- Design, configure, and maintain absence plans, accruals, time entry codes, time calculations, work schedules, and related business processes.
- Partner with Payroll to ensure accurate gross‑to‑net outcomes, compliance with federal/state/local regulations, and seamless end‑to‑end processing.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to time entry, time approvals, accrual calculations, leave eligibility, and payroll results.
- Support annual and cyclical processes such as year‑end payroll, PTO resets, and policy updates.
- Analyze system impacts of policy changes and recommend scalable configuration solutions.
- Collaborate with Operations and HR to optimize workforce timekeeping practices and ensure accurate labor reporting.
- Design, build, and maintain reports and dashboards, including Advanced, Matrix, and Composite reports.
- Provide post-production support across Workday HCM modules.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to a knowledge-sharing culture.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Information Systems, or related field (preferred)
- Hospitality industry experience a strong plus
- Expert-level hands-on experience configuring Workday Absence, Time Tracking, and Payroll
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel
- Solid understanding of core HR business processes and interdependencies with Payroll, IT, and Finance
- Prior experience with Workday acquisitions, data loads, and configuration a plus
- Willingness to travel occasionally to company properties.
