Python/Django Software Engineer (3 month contract)
Software Engineer (Python/Django) Location: Remote Position: 3 month contract Rate: $40 - 70/hr Overview: We're a 3PL Supply Chain company looking for a Software Engineer with strong Python/Django experience. We have two projects to be completed over the 3 month period related to pulling billing data out of our TMS and building a responsive web applicatiton that allows users to view tracking information. We have Claude code available for our developers, but need a true developer, not just someone who can use Claude code.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement web applications using Python and Django frameworks.
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs for data exchange between front-end and back-end systems.
- Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
- Troubleshoot and debug applications to optimize performance and reliability.
- Participate in code reviews and maintain coding standards to ensure high-quality software development.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in Python and Django development.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Python Developer with expertise in Django framework.
- Experience with SQL databases and writing complex queries.
- Familiarity with EDI, API integration, Cargowise, TMS, and Supply Chain concepts is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as in a team setting.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
