Job Summary
We're seeking a charismatic and experienced Virtual Livestream Event Moderator to join our team and help create a seamless, engaging, and inclusive experience for our global audience. As a key member of our event team, you'll be responsible for moderating live sessions, engaging with the audience, and fostering a welcoming and supportive virtual space.
Key Responsibilities

Audience Engagement
+ Welcome and energize the virtual audience during live sessions + Monitor and interact with audience comments in the chat, responding to questions and keeping the energy upbeat + Share event updates, encourage participation, and maintain a positive, inclusive environment
Live Session Moderation
+ Host and moderate livestreamed conversations, panel discussions, and Q&A sessions with performers and speakers + Guide one-on-one conversations between audience members and featured guests + Manage timing and transitions between segments to keep the event on schedule + Work with the production team to troubleshoot any live communication issues
Community Building
+ Foster a welcoming and supportive virtual space where everyone feels included + Help amplify the festival's themes of self-love and resilience by encouraging meaningful dialogue

- Comfortable using livestreaming platforms like Zoom, YouTube Live, or StreamYard: Familiar with the tools and technology required for live streaming
- A team player who can think on their feet and adapt to changing dynamics: Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances
- Available to dedicate 5-10 hours per week leading up to the festival and full availability on February 13, 2025: Commit to the demands of the role and be available for the duration of the festival
