Key Responsibilities

As a Customer Experience Agent, you'll be responsible for:

  • Fielding incoming customer service calls and resolving customer issues in an accurate and timely manner
  • Researching account status and identifying account issues
  • Addressing billing inquiries and resolving billing disputes
  • Processing disconnection and re-connection requests
  • Enrolling customers and resolving enrollment issues
  • Initiating collection activity on past due accounts and processing disconnection and re-connection requests
  • Serving as a customer advocate while adhering to all regulatory requirements and company policies associated with the role

Skills and Knowledge

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) Required: You'll be communicating with customers in both English and Spanish, so proficiency in both languages is essential.
  • Outstanding phone etiquette and polished communication skills: You'll be interacting with customers via phone, email, and chat, so excellent communication skills are crucial.
  • Excellent listening skills: You'll need to listen attentively to customers' concerns and respond accordingly.
  • Ability to maintain a calm demeanor when dealing with agitated customers: You'll be working with customers who may be frustrated or upset, so staying calm and composed is essential.
  • Attentive to detail and committed to high-quality customer service: You'll need to ensure that every customer interaction is positive and memorable.
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills: You'll be working with complex customer issues, so analytical and problem-solving skills are essential.
  • Willingness to identify problems and suggest process improvements: You'll be working in a fast-paced environment where change is commonplace, so being proactive and suggesting improvements is encouraged.
  • Proficiency in Windows environment and MS Word and Excel applications: You'll be working in a Windows environment, so familiarity with MS Word and Excel is necessary.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment where change is commonplace: You'll be working in a dynamic environment where change is constant, so being adaptable and flexible is essential.

Experience

To be considered for this role, you'll need:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in an inbound call center environment: You'll need to have experience working in a call center environment, handling customer inquiries and resolving issues.
  • Customer care experience strongly preferred: Experience in customer care is highly valued, as it demonstrates your ability to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
  • Experience within the retail electricity industry strongly preferred: Experience in the retail electricity industry is highly valued, as it demonstrates your knowledge of the industry and its complexities.
  • Experience in similar markets such as utilities, telecom, or cable preferred: Experience in similar markets is highly valued, as it demonstrates your ability to adapt to new industries and environments.
