Job Summary
We're seeking an experienced Driver Onboarding Specialist/Data Entry Clerk to join our team. As a key member of our onboarding team, you'll be responsible for communicating with our delivery professionals, reviewing applications, and ensuring that our drivers are properly onboarded and activated. Responsibilities
As a Driver Onboarding Specialist/Data Entry Clerk, you'll be responsible for the following key tasks:
- Reviewing Applications: Review applications, insurance documents, and vehicle registration documents for accuracy and eligibility.
- Conducting Virtual Vehicle Safety Inspections: Conduct virtual vehicle safety inspections with qualified driver-applicants (training provided).
- Communicating with Drivers: Communicate with delivery professionals via text, chat, and email about the status of their applications.
- Ordering Background Checks: Order driver applicants' pre-employment background checks using company software.
- Data Entry: Enter data into our system, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you'll need to have the following skills and qualifications:
- Associate's Degree or Above: An associate's degree or above is preferred, but not required.
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience in recruiting/onboarding gig app workers or working in data entry, HR, or customer service is preferred, but not required.
- Strong Attention to Detail: You'll need to have a strong attention to detail and be able to review documents accurately.
- Self-Motivated: You'll need to be self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills are essential, as you'll be communicating with drivers via text, chat, and email.
- Ability to Handle Multiple Tasks: You'll need to be able to handle and prioritize multiple tasks, ensuring that all applications are reviewed and processed in a timely manner.
- Comfortable with Technology: You'll need to be comfortable with smartphone applications and web-based applications.
Work Environment
As a remote worker, you'll have the flexibility to work from home or our downtown San Diego office. If working from home, you'll need to have access to a reliable internet connection and working computer. This role is not eligible for US visa sponsorship.

We're open to hiring candidates from across the USA, but we prefer candidates from the following states: Alabama, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Texas, Virginia. Other states are considered on a candidate-by-candidate basis.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this role is $25,000 to $35,000 annually, based on the candidate's skills, education, and experience. This role is also eligible for additional benefits, including:
