We're now seeking a motivated and dynamic Local Success Coach (LSC) to join our team on a part-time basis. This remote role will be instrumental in supporting Host Families and Au Pairs in the San Mateo, CA area, while contributing to our mission of promoting cultural exchange and understanding.
Key Responsibilities
As a Local Success Coach, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the success of our Au Pair program in the San Mateo, CA area. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing essential information and guidance to families during the matching process, ensuring a smooth and successful experience for all parties involved.
- Clearly articulating regulations, policies, and program rules to Host Families and Au Pairs, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities.
- Conducting in-home family interviews and site visits to confirm understanding of program regulations and ensure a safe and welcoming environment for Au Pairs.
- Facilitating in-home orientations for new Au Pairs upon their arrival, providing a warm welcome and setting the tone for a successful experience.
- Maintaining monthly communications with families and Au Pairs to ensure ongoing support and address any concerns or issues that may arise.
- Organizing and implementing in-person cultural events for Au Pairs in the local community, promoting cultural exchange and understanding.
- Collaborating with headquarters staff to support families and Au Pairs effectively, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
- Building and nurturing personal relationships with families and Au Pairs while ensuring high-quality communication and a positive experience for all.
- Executing marketing initiatives as directed by headquarters, promoting the Au Pair program and attracting new families and Au Pairs.
- Addressing crisis and conflict situations promptly and professionally, assisting families and Au Pairs with resolution and ensuring a positive outcome.
Required Skills
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with families and Au Pairs.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities, ensuring accurate and timely communication and follow-up.
- High energy, enthusiasm, and motivation, with a passion for international exchange and education.
- Proficient in utilizing technology, including access to a home computer/laptop and the internet.
- Reliable transportation and access to a vehicle, with the ability to travel to families' homes and participate in local events.
- A passion for international exchange and education, with a desire to promote cultural understanding and exchange.
Qualifications
While not mandatory, previous experience in child care or cultural exchange programs is preferred. You'll also need:
- Strong interpersonal and counseling skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with families and Au Pairs.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively, with a high level of organization and attention to detail.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a college degree is preferred but not mandatory.

Compensation And Benefits
As an independent contractor, you'll enjoy the flexibility of creating your own schedule while making a significant impact in the lives of families and young adults globally. Compensation is tiered based on the number of active families within your service area:
- For 3 active families: Approximately 1.4 hours per week; estimated yearly compensation: up to $4,500.
- For 11 active families: Approximately 3.0 hours per week; estimated yearly compensation: $9,300.
