Job Summary
As a Network Protection Examiner Understudy, you'll play a critical role in our Incident Response Group, working closely with our team of experts to identify, mitigate, and recover from digital threats. You'll have the opportunity to work on real-world projects, developing your skills in emergency management, threat assessment, and collaboration. This is a unique chance to gain hands-on experience in network security and make a meaningful contribution to our organization.
Key Responsibilities
* Work with business clients to conduct needs analysis related to systems and business processes to develop high-quality technical solutions
- Ensure solutions are aligned with internal tooling, business processes, and compliance with departmental standards
- Manage project timelines for planning, coding, testing, and implementation to ensure solutions are delivered on time and within budget
- Act as a resource to facilitate effective communication between business and IT groups
- Participate in system and acceptance testing
- Scope of work may vary depending on the project task
Essential Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., computer science, information technology, cybersecurity)
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Fundamental knowledge of data security and threat mitigation standards, theories, and practices
- Experience or exposure to Proofpoint PhishAlarm is a plus
- Experience or knowledge of ServiceNow Administration, Risk and Compliance (GRC) is a plus
- Basic knowledge of business analysis, process modeling, and improvement is a plus
- Major understanding of project management systems, including the ability to design, manage, and maintain a complex, organization-wide program is a plus
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with all levels within the organization, including both technical and non-technical stakeholders is a plus
- Fundamental knowledge of technical environment is required
- Openness to Agile philosophies is a plus
- Coursework or experience related to network security is a plus
- Ability to remain organized and manage multiple and simultaneous tasks under tight deadlines is a plus
- Past investigator entry-level position experience within the past year is a plus
- Experience solving business problems in a capstone or case competition is a plus
- Functions well in a culture that is open, direct, conscious, gracious, and empathetic
- Fast learner, self-motivated, team-oriented, with a sense of humor
