Job Summary
As a Remote Healthcare Billing and Customer Service Representative, you'll work as an extended business office representative on behalf of our clients, providing exceptional customer service and support to patients and their families. You'll work from the comfort of your own home, with the flexibility to work in an office setting if preferred. In this important role, you'll:
- Use empathy and fantastic listening, verbal, and written communication skills to help patients and their families understand confusing and often unexpected medical bills
- Provide outstanding customer service and collaborate with patients over the phone on affordable payment plans and take payments by phone
- Use your computer proficiency, organization, and attention to detail to accurately document all calls and follow-ups in our software systems throughout each day
- Support your fellow team members with consistent attendance, excellent work ethic, and caring team focus
- Continuously improve, with supportive coaching/feedback from your manager and team leads and ongoing training
What You'll Need
* 1-2 years of experience in customer service, healthcare, or a related field
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet productivity standards
- Proficiency in computer software and systems, including CRM and billing systems
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience working in a healthcare setting or with medical billing and insurance
- Knowledge of medical terminology and billing procedures
- Certification in customer service or a related field
- Bilingual or multilingual skills
