We're now seeking an exceptional Director of Data Science to lead our Global Data Strategy group within Risk Finance. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for developing and implementing cutting-edge data analytics solutions that drive business growth, optimize risk management, and inform strategic decision-making.

About the Role

As the Director of Data Science, you'll be at the forefront of arenaflex's data-driven transformation. Your primary responsibility will be to lead the strategic evaluation of our credit metrics, credit provision, and reserve for Senior Management in Risk and Finance. You'll own the precise information assets and packages within Risk Finance, ensuring they are optimized, automated, and adopted by our stakeholders. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Leading the strategic evaluation of arenaflex credit metrics, credit provision, and reserve for Senior Management in Risk and Finance
• Owning precise information assets/packages within Risk Finance, and becoming a subject matter expert on the applicable tools (troubleshooting issues, reconciling results, identifying enhancements and automation possibilities, and teaching other customers to drive adoption)
• Developing and maintaining preferred and ad-hoc reports used by Risk Finance and/or business partners; providing credit-associated analytical support
• Developing and presenting key analyses and recommendations to Senior Management
• Building and maintaining relationships across Risk Finance portfolio groups and with partners in Risk, Controllership, Tech, etc.
• Providing selection-aid with a strong emphasis on growing analytics that identify trends and opportunities within the portfolio, which can be used to optimize Business and Risk decisions

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

• Advanced experience working with a combination of the following: SQL/Hive, Power BI/Tableau, Python/R, VBA, TM1
• Experience working with a sophisticated level of Excel and PowerPoint required
• Experience in ML modeling is a plus
• Solid economic and analytical skills; ability to work with large datasets and draw significant conclusions, empowering our business partners to make smart, data-driven decisions
• Superior attention to detail, alongside exemplary organizational and problem-solving skills
• Must be results-driven and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and work within tight timelines
• Desire to work on ambiguous tasks, growing clarity while achieving successful and significant outcomes
• A strong work-ethic and strong interpersonal skills, showcasing the ability to build and maintain relationships and successfully collaborate with team members to achieve goals
• Experience working with a sophisticated level of Excel and PowerPoint required
• Master's degree in advanced mathematics or statistical discipline required

Compensation and Benefits

The anticipated compensation range for this role is $55.00 to $85.00 hourly, plus bonus, equity (if relevant), and benefits. Ultimately, your salary will be determined by your location, experience, and other job-related factors.
