Specialist, Workforce Development – Grants Administration
Job Description:
- Focus on WDD grants administration projects
- Support the execution of contracts with awardees
- Ensure appropriate use of funds
- Provide guidance to awardees
- Review and approve awardee invoices
- Perform report analysis
- Capture lessons and successes
- Provide oversight of assigned awardees and projects
- Lead program reporting and award management activities
- Track project/award specific Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Requirements:
- Strong project management skills
- Experience with the California Community College system and/or Workforce Development preferred
- Ability to research, analyze, synthesize, and communicate complex topics to a variety of internal and external audiences
- Experience with project and client management software (e.g., Asana, Salesforce) preferred
- Experience with Excel required
- Experience with grants administration from a funder's perspective
- Familiarity with state and federal funding
- Willingness to engage in constructive discussion
- A customer service mindset
- Possession of a valid California Driver’s License, good driving record, automobile insurance, and a reliable personal vehicle is required
