Job Summary

As a Remote Healthcare Billing and Customer Service Representative, you'll work as an extended business office representative on behalf of our clients, providing exceptional customer service and support to patients and their families. You'll work with patients to explain their medical bills, answer questions, and resolve account balances, all while maintaining a high level of empathy and professionalism. If you're passionate about delivering outstanding customer service and working in a dynamic remote environment, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

* Using empathy and fantastic listening, verbal, and written communication skills to help patients and their families understand confusing, and often times unexpected, medical bills.

  • Provide outstanding customer service and collaborate with patients over the phone on affordable payment plans, and taking payments by phone.
  • Using your computer proficiency, organization, and attention to detail to accurately document all calls and follow-ups in our software systems throughout each day.
  • Supporting your fellow team members with consistent attendance, excellent work ethic, and caring team focus.
  • Continuously improving, with supportive coaching / feedback from your manager and team leads and ongoing training.

Essential Qualifications:

* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred

  • 1-2 years of customer service experience in a healthcare setting or related industry
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Proficiency in computer software systems, including CRM and billing systems
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience working in a remote or virtual environment

  • Certification in customer service or a related field
  • Experience working with patients and families in a healthcare setting
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits:

* Competitive base annual pay ranging from $37,440 - $43,680 based on prior experience

  • Monthly performance bonuses ranging from $100-$400
