Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Seasonal Data Entry Operator to join our team. As a Seasonal Data Entry Operator, you will be responsible for:

• Using specialized browser-based applications to enter or repair alphanumeric information from source documents and images
• Capturing data and/or verifying the accuracy of OCR data and correcting logic errors and math blocks
• Operating electronic data entry or word processing equipment to input information from source documents
• Maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in your work

What You Will Be Doing

As a Seasonal Data Entry Operator, you will be working in a fast-paced environment, processing data and ensuring its accuracy. You will be responsible for:

• Entering data into specialized browser-based applications
• Verifying the accuracy of OCR data and correcting logic errors and math blocks
• Maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in your work
• Working closely with the team to ensure the smooth operation of the Information Transcription Unit

What You Need To Qualify

To be considered for this position, you must have:

• Three months of full-time experience in data entry or word processing
• Experience operating electronic data entry or word processing equipment to input information from source documents
• A keyboard (typing) speed of at least 45 words per minute
• Completion of an established data entry training course using electronic data entry equipment may be substituted for up to three months of experience

Additional Information

This is an SEIU-represented position. This recruitment may be used to fill additional vacancies as they occur. The salary listed is the non-PERS qualifying salary range.
