Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Sr. Data Engineer to join our team of talented professionals. As a Sr. Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale data pipelines and applications that support our business operations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify business needs and develop solutions that meet those needs.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and develop large-scale data pipelines and applications that support business operations
- Collaborate with data science teams to integrate data and models into automated processes
- Develop ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, data set frameworks, and tools for continuous and batch processing
- Work with cloud-based platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure) to design and implement data pipelines
- Develop strong programming skills in Python or other major languages to build robust data pipelines and dynamic systems
- Assemble data stores and data models to support information science and other internal clients
- Investigate current data technology trends to identify and evaluate key capabilities and suggest solutions
- Explore new tools and technologies to determine the best approach given the requirements of the model or use case
Essential Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 5+ years of relevant work experience in data engineering
- 5+ years of experience with SQL
- 5+ years of experience with Python
- Experience with cloud-based platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure)
- Strong communication, decision-making, and critical thinking skills
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with Hadoop, Hive, or PySpark
- Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.)
- Experience with the healthcare industry
- Experience with agile development methodologies
