As a Temporary Remote Catastrophe (CAT) Customer Service Representative, you'll play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and technical expertise to clients during a difficult time.

Temporary Remote Position
This is a temporary, remote position, contingent on catastrophe relief needs. You'll work from the comfort of your own home, choosing your own hours and shifts to suit your schedule. Our hours of operation are from Sunday to Saturday, 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM CST, and you'll be sent available hours weekly for you to choose from. Preferred hours of availability are Monday to Sunday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM CST.
What does a CAT Customer Service Representative do?
As a CAT Customer Service Representative, you'll apply the latest customer service techniques and learn our account management systems while helping improve the customer experience during a difficult time. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing positive customer service and technical expertise through prompt, accurate, and courteous responses to customer needs
- Offering empathy and support to customers during the claim process
- Collecting and documenting all claim details provided by the customer into the claim accurately
- Identifying and resolving customer issues by adhering to clients-specific handling instructions
- Utilizing call scripting to ensure consistency and efficiency in handling customer claims and inquiries
Computer Requirements
To perform this role, you'll need to have your own computer with the following specifications:
- Operating System: Windows 10, Windows 11, or Windows Home
- Not Supported: Chromebooks, macOS, Linux, etc.
Network Requirements
To ensure a stable and secure connection, you'll need to meet the following network requirements:
- Upon hire, you must run a Speedtest from the computer you'll be working from (www.speedtest.net)
- Ethernet connection is not required, but strongly recommended
- You must be on a private network, not allowed to work in public locations
- No VPNs are allowed, as logins must happen in the US

- Ability to type swiftly and accurately (40+ words a minute)
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
- Basic understanding of Windows operating systems
- Highly reliable with the ability to maintain regular attendance and punctuality
- Ability to evaluate, troubleshoot, and follow up on customer issues
- Customer service oriented (empathetic, responsive, patient, and conscientious)
- Ability to multi-task, stay focused, and self-manage
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
To be eligible for this position, you must:
- Be 18 years of age or older
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Meet the computer and network requirements
- Be authorized to work in the country where the job is based
- Be willing to submit to a background investigation and drug test as part of the onboarding process
- Meet the desired characteristics and qualifications listed above
