Key Responsibilities
As a Ramp Agent, you'll be responsible for:
- Safely lifting, loading, unloading, and transporting baggage, mail, and cargo to and from aircraft, ensuring timely connections by guiding incoming and departing aircraft from the gate positions.
- Safeguarding cargo, baggage, and mail from damage, loss, and weather conditions.
- Safely driving and operating ground equipment such as tugs, belt loaders, and tow tractors in areas of congestion.
- Operating baggage scanners and computers to ensure baggage is routed accurately to the customer's destination.
- Maintaining a safe and secure work environment, adhering to all operational processes and procedures.
Work Environment and Schedule
As a Ramp Agent, you'll work in a fast-paced environment with varying shifts, including early morning, evening, and overnight shifts. You'll be required to work between 20 and 40 hours per week, based on operational needs and your seniority. Our stations are unique, with individual flight schedules, so you'll need to be flexible and adaptable.

What You Need to Succeed
To be a successful Ramp Agent, you'll need:
- Consistently prioritize safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
- Embrace diverse people, thinking, and styles.
- Possess a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
- Be at least 18 years of age and have authorization to work in the United States.
- Have a valid driver's license.
- Proficiency in English.
- Pass a physical ability test (PAT). You can prepare for the PAT by watching this video.
- Must wear required company-approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to include, but not limited to: hearing protection, safety-toe footwear, protective headwear (bump cap or hard hat), and high-visibility safety apparel, subject to an approved accommodation, such as alternate PPE.
- Ability to hold airport-specific requirements such as a SIDA Badge and Customs Seal.
