Job Summary

We're looking for an experienced Director of Data Science to lead our Global Data Strategy group, responsible for developing and implementing centralized reporting capabilities, process enhancements, and automation. Key Responsibilities

As the Director of Data Science, you'll be responsible for:

• Leading the strategic evaluation of arenaflex credit metrics, credit provision, and reserve for Senior Management in Risk and Finance: You'll develop and implement advanced analytics and data visualization techniques to inform business decisions and drive strategic outcomes.
• Owning precise information assets/packages within Risk Finance, and becoming a subject matter expert of the applicable tools: You'll troubleshoot issues, reconcile results, identify enhancements and automation opportunities, and train other customers to drive adoption.
• Developing and maintaining preferred and ad-hoc reviews used by Risk Finance and/or business partners; providing credit-related analytical support: You'll work closely with business partners to develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and other analytical tools to support business decisions.
• Developing and presenting key analyses and recommendations to Senior Management: You'll communicate complex data insights and recommendations to Senior Management, ensuring that they are informed and empowered to make data-driven decisions.
• Building and maintaining relationships across Risk Finance portfolio groups and with partners in Risk, Controllership, Tech, etc.: You'll foster strong relationships with business partners, stakeholders, and team members to drive collaboration and achieve business outcomes.
• Providing decision-support with a strong emphasis on growing analytics that identify trends and opportunities within the portfolio which can be used to optimize Business and Risk decisions: You'll develop and implement advanced analytics and data visualization techniques to identify trends, opportunities, and risks within the portfolio.

Required Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

• Advanced experience working with a maximum of the following is required: SQL/Hive, Power BI/Tableau, Python/R, VBA, TM1: You'll have experience working with a range of data tools and technologies, including SQL, Hive, Power BI, Tableau, Python, R, VBA, and TM1.
• Experience working with a sophisticated degree of Excel and PowerPoint required: You'll have experience working with advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, including data analysis, visualization, and presentation.
• Experience in ML modeling is a plus: You'll have experience working with machine learning models and techniques, including model development, deployment, and maintenance.
• Solid economic and analytical skills; ability to work with large units of data and draw significant conclusions, empowering our business partners to make smart, data-driven decisions: You'll have a strong understanding of economic and analytical concepts, including data analysis, visualization, and interpretation.
• Superior attention to detail, alongside exemplary organizational and problem-solving skills: You'll have a strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to solve complex problems.
• Must be results-driven and proactive with the ability to manage multiple tasks and work within tight timelines: You'll be a results-driven individual with excellent time management skills, able to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Desire to work on ambiguous tasks, growing clarity while achieving successful and significant outcomes: You'll be comfortable working on ambiguous tasks, able to develop creative solutions, and achieve successful outcomes.

• Master's degree in advanced mathematics or statistical discipline required: You'll have a Master's degree in a relevant field, such as mathematics, statistics, or a related discipline.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive compensation package, including:

• $55.00 to $85.00 hourly + bonus + equity (if relevant) + benefits: Our compensation package includes a base salary, bonus, equity (if relevant), and benefits.
