Job Summary

As a Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, you'll be the primary customer interface for inquiries, handling incoming phone calls, and providing expert guidance to navigate the complex world of insurance. You'll be responsible for building trust with our members, resolving issues, and proactively recommending solutions to improve customer satisfaction and transaction profitability. Key Responsibilities

* Interfaces with customers via telephone, written correspondence, fax, web, and/or electronic mail to provide exceptional customer service and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.

  • Researches customer information utilizing appropriate systems, policies, regulations, procedures, and other reference materials to effectively respond to and resolve customer issues.
  • Elevates sensitive customer requests when necessary and ensures compliance with State and Federal regulations and mandates.
  • Stays current on knowledge of diverse products and proactively recommends items needed by customers to increase customer satisfaction and improve transaction profitability.
  • Collaborates with internal teams to resolve complex issues and provide seamless customer experiences.

Essential Qualifications

* High School Diploma or Equivalent

  • Three years of experience in a complaint-type customer service office setting (health insurance or related field preferred)
  • Availability for training 9-12 weeks in length
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Basic medical/dental terminology and contract interpretation is a plus

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience in the health insurance industry

  • Knowledge of State and Federal regulations and mandates
  • Proven track record of providing exceptional customer service and resolving complex issues
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office
