Position Summary Maxell Corporation of America is seeking a Director, OEM Sales to lead and represent our OEM Energy Division, Optical Components Group, and Automotive Lens Group . This role is responsible for driving strategic account management, developing new business opportunities, and executing sales and marketing strategies to achieve both short‑ and long‑term divisional and corporate objectives. The Director will work closely with executive leadership to increase revenue, develop new accounts, launch new programs, and optimize the sales organization for maximum effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute new business strategies across Maxell’s OEM Division to drive growth.
  • Lead, manage, and support the OEM Sales team to accelerate key customer growth and successful new product introductions.
  • Create and implement effective sales and marketing strategies that increase top‑line revenue and improve gross and net profit.
  • Manage major OEM accounts and lead high‑level customer meetings to align goals, programs, and product strategies.
  • Deliver accurate corporate reporting, including forecasts, sales reports, budgets, presentations, expense reports, inventory data, and legal documentation.
  • Manage expenses to remain within established budgets.
  • Meet or exceed revenue, budget, and operating profit targets with a focus on year‑over‑year growth.
  • Collaborate with internal teams including operations, credit, and other support groups to ensure customer success.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a technical field required.
  • 7–9 years of experience in regional or national OEM sales; battery or capacitor OEM sales experience preferred.
  • Strong sales leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts.
  • Deep understanding of OEM processes, procedures, and B2B RFQ environments.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and client‑relationship skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to navigate complex contracts and pricing discussions.
  • Working knowledge of engineering concepts, production processes, product specifications, and contracts.
  • Commitment to world‑class performance standards.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Willingness to travel as required.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive base salary:

$130,000 – $150,000
