Experienced Crisis Intervention Specialist – 988 Chat/Text Crisis Support

We're seeking an experienced Crisis Intervention Specialist to join our 24/7/365 mental health crisis/suicide prevention focused team. As a remote position, you'll handle incoming chat/text messages through the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline (NSPL), also known as 988. Your primary responsibility will be to provide brief clinical screenings, risk assessments, and appropriate service linkage for individuals who are experiencing emotional distress.

About the Role

This is a dynamic opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those in crisis. As a Crisis Intervention Specialist, you'll be part of a dedicated team that provides telephonic or chat clinical screenings and risk assessments. You'll also answer crisis contacts via the chat/text platform to assess for suicide, safety, and identify appropriate community resources to best meet individual needs.

Responsibilities

* Provide telephonic or chat clinical screenings and risk assessments to individuals in crisis

• Answer crisis contacts via the chat/text platform to assess for suicide, safety, and identify appropriate community resources
• Conduct follow-up calls for individuals who are deemed moderate to high risk for suicide
• Meet the ethical and clinical standards in compliance with all accreditation
• Actively participate in ongoing supervision, training, and team meetings
• Assist in administrative tasks as needed

Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in behavioral science, Psychology, Social Work, or Certified Peer Recovery Specialist

• Six months to one year of related crisis experience
• Effectively communicate via written, verbal, in-person, and virtual methods
• Demonstrates high-level customer service skills and professional etiquette
• Knowledge and competency in providing service linkage and referrals for programs, services, and other community resources
• Knowledge of suicide assessments
• Skill in providing crisis intervention

Compensation

* Pay range: $19.10-$26.80
