Job Summary:
As a Customer Service Representative, you will play a vital role in providing top-notch phone support to patients receiving life-saving specialty medication treatment. You will be responsible for the overall coordination and handling of new prescription requests and reorders, including verifying and renewing benefits. You will also assist our patients in deciphering and entering new or reorder medications into our pharmacy data system, processing and collecting copay sums, obtaining approvals, and collaborating with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to screen, identify, resolve, and approve orders with records of sales or clinical issues.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide exceptional phone support to patients receiving specialty medication treatment, ensuring timely and efficient handling of prescription requests and reorders
- Verify and renew patient benefits, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information
- Assist patients in deciphering and entering new or reorder medications into our pharmacy data system
- Process and collect copay sums, obtaining approvals as necessary
- Collaborate with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to screen, identify, resolve, and approve orders with records of sales or clinical issues
- Utilize Windows-based applications, such as Windows, Microsoft Office, web navigation, and email applications, to efficiently manage patient information and requests
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions and requests
Essential Qualifications:
* Active IL Pharmacy Technician License or willingness to apply for an IL Pharmacy Technician License
- One year of experience in a customer service role, handling and resolving a high volume of complex customer needs via telephone
- One year of work experience with Windows-based applications, including Windows, Microsoft Office, web navigation, and email applications
- One year of PC keyboarding experience, skills, and fitness
Preferred Qualifications:
* Healthcare work experience and knowledge of benefits, insurance, medications, and clinical terminology
- Strong understanding of pharmacy operations and regulations

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with patients, insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues
