As a data entry keyer at arenaflex, you'll be part of a dynamic team that focuses on accuracy and efficiency. You'll work independently, with minimal supervision, to read and enter data from customer service documents, shipping orders, and work orders into our computer systems. Your role is crucial to the smooth operation of our company, ensuring that data is accurate, consistent, and up-to-date.
Job Description
We're seeking an experienced data entry keyer to join our team. As a key member of our administrative support team, you'll be responsible for:
Key Responsibilities
- Read customer and shipping orders submitted in person, via the print catalog, and online, deciphering handwriting that can be challenging to read.
- Key data into specific Microsoft Excel fields, with approximately 10% of orders submitted in person, 15% via catalog, and the remaining online.
- Read and key in data from other source documents, ensuring accuracy and consistency throughout the system.
- Verify data accuracy before entering it, ensuring that information is consistent and up-to-date.
- Report any data errors or anomalies to your supervisor, maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
- Keep accurate and updated logs of ongoing work, providing a clear understanding of project progress.
- Perform filing, copying, and other administrative duties for approximately three hours per day, allowing for a varied and engaging work experience.
Essential Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong reading comprehension skills, with the ability to decipher handwriting and understand complex information.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve data errors.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
- Good communication skills, with the ability to effectively report data errors and anomalies to supervisors.
- Patience and attention to detail, with the ability to work accurately and efficiently in a repetitive environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Reading knowledge of English, with the ability to understand and enter data from orders written in Spanish (approximately 5-10% of orders).
- One to two years of experience in data entry and/or filing, with a strong understanding of administrative procedures.
- Social perceptiveness and service orientation, with the ability to provide excellent customer service and support.
