Key Responsibilities

As a Chat Service Representative, you'll be responsible for providing top-notch support to our customers through live chat, email, and phone interactions. Your primary duties will include:

  • Answering incoming customer live chats regarding website navigation issues, service questions, and general client concerns
  • Evaluating customer interactions and escalating issues to the Online Chat Manager when necessary
  • Building relationships with new customers to better understand and meet their needs
  • Responding to customer questions, inquiries, requests, and problems accurately, concisely, and professionally
  • Promoting interest in client products and services
  • Consistently achieving established standards of the position
  • Continually portraying and projecting a positive and professional image
  • Providing administrative support to the customer service team
  • Assisting with overflow work and other duties as needed

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need to possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Experience: At least 1-2 years of experience in customer service, preferably in an e-commerce or client-facing environment
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues
  • Technical: Proficiency in using technology, including live chat platforms, email, and phone systems
  • Independence: Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, while also being a team player
  • Problem-solving: Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and resolve customer issues efficiently
  • Adaptability: Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to adjust to changing priorities and deadlines
  • Language: Fluency in English, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications would be a plus:

  • Certifications: Customer service certifications, such as the Certified Customer Service Representative (CCSR) or the Certified Customer Experience Professional (CCEP)
  • Experience with CRM: Experience using customer relationship management (CRM) software, such as Salesforce or HubSpot
  • Language skills: Proficiency in multiple languages, including Spanish, French, or Mandarin
  • Experience with e-commerce platforms: Experience working with e-commerce platforms, such as Shopify or Magento
