Job Overview:

We're seeking an experienced Customer Service Representative to join our client's team, a full-service self storage company dealing in the day-to-day operations of the self storage industry. As a key member of the team, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, handling incoming calls, and working with customers to resolve their queries and concerns. This is an exciting opportunity to grow into a full-time sales/management position, where you'll have the chance to develop your skills and take on new challenges.

Responsibilities:

As a Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for:

  • Answering incoming calls from customers in a timely and professional manner
  • Calling customers with outstanding balances to collect payments and resolve any issues
  • Following up with customers who have expressed interest in storage units to ensure a smooth rental process
  • Initiating the auction process for customers who have not paid their storage fees
  • Implementing a tenant protection program to safeguard customer belongings and ensure a positive experience

Qualifications, Skills, and Key Competencies:

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Previous experience in customer service roles, preferably in a call center or sales environment
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to multi-task with several windows open on your computer at one time
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on providing a positive experience for customers

Essential Skills:

* Proficiency in CRM software and other customer service tools

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
  • Strong organizational and time management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience in the self storage industry or a related field

  • Knowledge of CRM software and other customer service tools
  • Ability to speak multiple languages, including Spanish
  • Experience working in a remote or virtual environment
