Key Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Answering all incoming telephone calls immediately using the proper greeting, ensuring a warm and welcoming tone that sets the stage for an exceptional guest experience.
  • Assisting customers verbally in a friendly, helpful, and professional manner, using the 10 Steps to Efficient Phone Service to ensure consistent customer satisfaction.
  • Clearly writing down any customer orders using the proper notation and the appropriate order form, requesting all pertinent information to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment.
  • Entering all take-out and delivery orders into the POS system accurately and completely, maintaining the highest standards of data integrity and accuracy.
  • Preparing any pizza boxes necessary for all take-out and delivery orders, ensuring a clean and organized workspace that reflects our commitment to excellence.
  • Knowledgeable on the arenaflex Rewards program to sign-up guests, promoting loyalty and encouraging repeat business.
  • Responsible for gelato presentation and appearance, maintaining the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Cleaning, stocking, and sanitizing the take-out and/or delivery area and all related equipment, upholding the highest standards of safety, sanitation, and food handling practices.
  • Maintaining an accurate record of all cash register transactions, including securing cash, processing credit card receipts, and entering tips, ensuring the highest standards of financial integrity.
  • Assisting in the training of new employees, sharing your knowledge and expertise to help them succeed in their roles.
  • Providing support services to co-workers as the flow of business dictates, demonstrating a commitment to teamwork and collaboration.
  • Performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager, including store-specific opening, closing, and side work procedures.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • Some secondary education, with a focus on customer service, hospitality, or a related field.
  • Entry-level experience in a customer-facing role, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional guest experiences.
  • Must be at least 16 years of age, with a valid ID and proof of age.
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure and perform in a stressful environment.
  • Ability to speak English fluently, with a strong understanding of grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation.
  • Basic computer operating skills, with the ability to navigate our POS system and other software applications.
  • Ability to accurately, quickly, and simultaneously perform multiple tasks, with a strong focus on multitasking and prioritization.
  • Strong math and excellent money handling skills, with the ability to quickly and accurately count money and give correct change.
  • Stamina to stand up to 5 hours at a time, with the ability to lift, bend, and stoop, and frequently lift and carry up to 10 lbs.
  • Ability to read, understand, and implement written and verbal instruction, with a strong focus on following procedures and protocols.
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation issues, with a commitment to upholding the highest standards of safety and sanitation practices.
  • Ability to use a standard business telephone in a professional manner, with a strong focus on communication and customer service.

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following qualifications would be highly desirable:

  • Previous experience in the food service industry, with a focus on customer service, hospitality, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of arenaflex menu, policies, preparation, and presentation standards, with a strong understanding of our brand and values.
  • Certification in food safety and sanitation, with a commitment to upholding the highest standards of safety and sanitation practices.
  • Experience with POS systems, with a strong understanding of data entry, inventory management, and cash handling procedures.
