About arenaflex and the Role
arenaflex's Direct to Consumer team is on a mission to revolutionize the way we experience entertainment and storytelling. As a part-time Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in helping us understand and optimize our web-based feature contributions (Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+) across a growing ecosystem. Our team's expertise lies in exploratory data analysis, modern storytelling, data visualization, and narrative to convey actionable insights and drive business decisions. We collaborate with teams across the Direct to Consumer association, as well as partners from specialty units across arenaflex, to create impactful, data-driven investigations that drive business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
As a Data Analyst, you will be responsible for:
- Translating complex business questions into SQL, including exact cohorting, calculations, filtering criteria, and aggregations
- Communicating complex patterns and driver insights to a diverse range of colleagues, from functional groups to executive audiences, through oral presentations and written reports
- Collaborating with other Analysis teams to analyze maintenance performance of key business initiatives across engagement, retention, and marketing areas
- Building and maintaining functional dashboards in Tableau and Looker to track performance over time, enable effective exploratory analysis, and provide self-serve tools for partners
- Partnering closely with business stakeholders (Product, Business Operations, Finance, Marketing, etc.) to identify and capitalize on opportunities for improved supporter retention
Essential Capabilities
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, Finance, Mathematics, Marketing, or a related field
- At least 3 years of Data Analysis experience
- High-level analytical skills with the ability to apply business acumen to data analysis and recommendations
- Ability to think critically, analyze and interpret first-party and third-party data
- Experience working with large datasets and deciphering data patterns using multiple data sources and tools
- Experience with data analysis and data visualization tools like Tableau or Looker
- Strong scientific and technical skills to handle issues, analyze the root cause, quickly devise potential solutions, detail the changes, and communicate authoritative impact
- Proven experience in specifying data requirements, data architecture, data governance (normalization, cleansing, and validation)
Preferred Capabilities
While not required, experience in the streaming media industry and supporting a direct-to-consumer or subscription-based product would be a significant plus. Additionally, experience in presenting and contributing to data stories that are shared with key stakeholders would be highly valued.

Compensation and Benefits
The hiring range for this position is $98,000 to $131,300 per year in New York, NY, and $93,400 to $125,200 per year in Santa Monica, CA. The base salary will be determined based on internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate's geographic location, work-related experience, skills, and qualifications. A bonus or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of clinical, financial, and other benefits, depending on the level and position offered.
