Evening and/or Weekend Dog Walker / Pet Sitter - Pet Care Professional
About the position Furry Fellas Pet Service LLC is hiring an experienced Pet Care Professional for Pet Sitting and Dog Walking. The ideal candidate loves dogs and/or cats, enjoys the outdoors and being active, and has experience with various animal types and energy levels. This role requires reliable transportation, a smartphone, the ability to work independently, and good communication/customer service skills. We are looking for individuals who are eager to learn, want to be part of something bigger, and make a difference daily. This is a great opportunity for part-time work or supplemental income.
Responsibilities
- Visit client’s homes to care for their companions while they are at work or on vacation
- Walking, exercising dogs, letting out for bathroom breaks, providing love & attention
- Feeding, medicating, providing fresh water, cleaning up after animals, litter boxes, etc.
- Leave a note for clients after each visit so they know how the visits went.
Requirements
- Love dogs and/or cats, enjoy the outdoors (dog walking) and being active
- Experienced with dogs of various sizes and energy levels AND/OR experienced with cats/other small animals
- Reliable transportation
- Own a smart phone
- Can work well independently
- Good communication skills/customer service skills
- Love to learn
- Seeking part time work or supplemental income
- Availability for evenings (4-9pm) and/or weekends (7am-9pm)
Nice-to-haves
- Prior experience working / volunteering with animals (dogs / cats, etc.)
- Passion for working with and helping animals
- Vet techs, dog trainers, pre-vet students, dog groomers, animal rescue workers and animal care techs are encouraged to apply.
