The Social and Behavioral Sciences Department at UA Pulaski Technical College is seeking an Assistant Professor of History and Political Science for Fall 2026. The position requires on campus teaching responsibilities with multiple campuses a possibility; the position may also include live streaming, webinar and online courses. Candidates must possess a thorough knowledge of the teaching fields, a commitment to high academic standards, a dedication to student success, as well as excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills. General Responsibilities:

• Development of course materials, assignments and assessment of student learning outcomes within the structure of the courses taught
• Management of accurate student records and timely submission of syllabi, roster certifications, grades and assessment reports
• Commitment to follow institutional and department policies regarding all course and college procedures
• Ability to establish and maintain positive, collaborative working relationships with students, colleagues and staff, including timely communications
• Ability and willingness to use contemporary educational techniques and technologies
• Participation in non-instructional activities, such as professional development activities, student advising, committee and departmental work and various level meetings as required by the college.
• Ability to perform all other duties as assigned associated with a full-time visiting instructor position
